Goodnight, Operator was shot for thirty thousand dollars on a family ranch in Arizona

Goodnight, Operator is about a telephone operator who hears a killing over the telephone

Goodnight, Operator was a Work in Progress Participant at Tribeca’s 2025 Creator’s Market

Goodnight, Operator was shot on location in Sonoita and Patagonia, AZ, with a crew of ten and a cast of five. After thirteen consecutive days of shooting, our key crew and cast packed up and caravanned to North Hollywood, Los Angeles, where the principal interior was shot for an additional three days.

Goodnight, Operator was shot entirely on Kodak BW XX Negative 16mm film on an Arriflex SRIII and a non-reflex Bolex.

All effects were practical. The switchboard really rang for an incoming call. A 1956 Chevy Bel Air really prowled the streets. Someone’s chest was really blown open.

This film is a true independent production. The entire project started with nothing more than a few acres of Arizona grassland and an eight-word logline scribbled on the corner of a bashed sketchbook.

With the enormous dedication of a small team of talented filmmakers, these eight words came to life in this desolate, unforgiving landscape.

Currently in post. More to come.
